Shaftholme Viaduct is a structure on the North Doncaster Chord Alliance project. This steel viaduct is 246m long and is supported on two abutments (North & South), with five intermediate piers. The six span viaduct is formed from 3 No twin span continuous bridge sections. The bridge decks are developed from the Network rail standard "E" type Underbridge design. They consist of two main girders, with cross girders bolted onto shear plates welded to the main girder webs. The end trimmers are bolted to shear plates attached to the T shaped bearing stiffeners.

CBUK commenced on site with in July 2013 with all works were completed by September 2013.
