These towers dominate the local skyline and are the tallest steel overhead line transmission towers in the world, consisting in excess of 135,000 components and 400,000 bolts. Each tower possesses its own integral automated access lift and at 2.3km apart, their cables form a catenary, falling from 345m to 56m above the river.
