Requirement

The Carquinez Bridge refers to parallel bridges spanning the Carquinez Strait, forming part of the Interstate 80 between Crockett and Vallejo, California. In 2003, Cleveland Bridge undertook a joint venture with Flatiron Structures Inc, a subsidiary of HBC, to aid the construction of this 1,056m long suspension bridge with a main span of 728m. The work comprised the anchorages, towers and foundations, suspension system and steel deck together with 1Km of approach road for the Department of Transportation, California.
