Family fun for Cleveland Bridge staff to reward hard work
The world-famous bridge builder Cleveland Bridge has said a big thank you to its staff for their hard work during the year by hosting a family fun day.
Fun was had by all at the event, which took place at the company’s premises in Yarm Road, Darlington with something for everyone, from the adrenaline-fuelled rock climbing and go-karting to the more sedate falconry display.
The range of activities and entertainment also included some delicious food and drink from local suppliers The Old Butchers to ensure everyone left satisfied.
Children had the chance to enjoy entertainment from Llewellyn for Fun, the renowned Punch and Judy performer, as well as face painting and a tour of Cleveland Bridge’s extensive steel production facility.
Chris Droogan, Managing Director of Cleveland Bridge UK, said “It was a pleasure to see such a great turnout from right across the company. It is a measure of the history of this business that we had up to three generations of employees from the same family all enjoying the sunshine and activities.
“We wanted to put an event on that appealed to the whole family thanking the hard work that the team puts in on a daily basis, but also thanking the wider Cleveland family and support network that helps this company continue to grow and prosper and, who knows, recruiting the next generation of apprentices to join our successful team!”
