So we continue to develop and build on these foundations by recruiting high-calibre engineers, graduates and apprentices, and continue supporting their development throughout their careers.

Cleveland Bridge has an award-winning apprenticeship programme, which gives up to ten young people every year their first steps onto the career ladder. Apprenticeships have always been at the core of our workforce development plans, and our well-structured training programme helps young people to train for careers in engineering, maintenance, IT, procurement, business development and many other trades. We offer higher level and graduate apprenticeships too, as well as a graduate scheme for university students.

Our investment in training and career development extends well beyond these early career stages. Our talent identification programme supports people at every stage of their working lives by creating personal development plans that focus on their strengths and ambitions.

We provide study opportunities for each of our employees to further their academic qualifications.  We encourage our engineers to aim higher and achieve Chartered or Professionally Certified status. This approach helps us to create the right workplace culture in which all teams feel valued, respected, empowered and inspired.
