Cleveland Bridge UK Ltd is expanding its operations with the appointment of an experienced Factory Manager and a series of promotions.
With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, new Factory Manager Richard Parker will oversee and further develop Cleveland Bridge UK’s continuous improvement culture to enhance safety and quality as part of the company’s drive to further increase productivity.
Richard brings a wealth of experience to Cleveland Bridge UK in the process and manufacture of structural steel and has successfully implemented and managed improvements across organisations. Prior to joining the company, he was a General Manager within Severfield where he was responsible for all aspects of production.
He will be supported in driving productivity by Colin Abbott, who has been promoted to Deputy Factory Manager. An experienced manufacturing professional, Colin takes up the new position after 44 years with the company.
Promoted to Preparation Manager, Gary Kipling will deliver further improvements to business efficiencies in this area by expanding on the responsibilities from his previous position as Structures Production Manager.
Terry Smedley has been promoted from Fabrication Supervisor to Production Engineer to increase the utilisation of his skills and experience in the business. While continuing to support manufacturing operations, he will also have a greater input into the enquiry, tender and planning process as well as taking responsibility for the production support department.
Cleveland Bridge UK has also rewarded Connor Lishman with promotion into the Production Engineering department after he completed his Mechanical Engineering Degree. Connor held the position on a part-time basis during his studies and takes the role on a permanent basis after achieving a first-class degree.
