Part of the Elgin flood alleviation scheme, the bridge is the largest of 3 bridges. The Pansport Bridge is a 2 span arch bridge crossing both the existing river Lossie and a new flood relief channel. The bridge’s steel arch construction is of trapezoidal plated steel boxes of varying cross section with cable hangers supporting the main steel single carriageway road deck from which cantilever sections provide for a pedestrian walkway and cycleway running down each side of the roadway.
