CLEVELAND BRIDGE WINS CONTRACTS
FROM CANARY WHARF CONTRACTORS AND ALFRED McALPINE
Cleveland
Bridge UK Limited has won a further project at Canary Wharf in
London.
The scope
of work includes the supply, delivery and erection of the steelwork
and decking for the East and West Towers for Building DS3 together
with the supply and installation of the stairs. The total tonnage
is around 8000 tonnes and is the second largest single steelwork
contracted award by Canary Wharf Contractors Limited.
The commencement
date is immediate with a start on site later in February 2007.
Alfred McAlpine
have recently awarded to Cleveland Bridge UK Limited tow contracts
for bridgework.
Selby Rail
Bridge is a replacement rail bridge of plate girder construction.
The steelwork involved totals 330 tonnes in weight and is programmed
for installation during Christmas 2007 rail possession.
Rugby Station
Footbridge project involves two 54 metre span footbridges of lattice
construction. The bridges each weighting 75 tonnes will be erected
using heavy craneage during a rail closure on the 2nd June 2007.
