The construction of a 1056 m long suspension bridge with a main span of 728 m across the Straits of
Carquinez between Contra Costa County and Vallejo in Salano County in the State of California, USA.
The work comprised the anchorages, towers and foundations, suspension system and steel deck together
with 1Km of approach road for the Department of Transportation, California. This was undertaken as
a Joint Venture agreement between Cleveland Bridge and Flatiron Structures Inc. who are a subsidiary
of HBG.
