The superstructures of three of the world's six longest span suspension bridges were fabricated engineered and constructed by Cleveland engineers and craftsmen. Major Bridges
Cleveland Bridge is highly experienced in managing the suppliers and sub-contractors for the wide range of products and activities which make up a major bridge in addition to the structural steel - operating as a main contractor.
Cleveland bridge has a unique record in modern suspension bridge construction as a main or principal contractor over the last 35 years. Our engineers have particular experience in cable construction with all three suspension systems in use today.

Bridge Strengthening & Retrofitting
Modifying or strengthening bridges in service can be technically very challenging – particularly in traffic management during construction and maintaining its integrity and safeguarding the users and workers. Our experience over the last ten years on important bridges has demonstrated our particular competence in this field, and ensured our competence to deal with the most complex of retrofit projects.
Steel remains competitive for short and medium span bridges, particularly in the form of composite construction. With the skills and resources required to sustain competence in major bridge-building in steel, Cleveland Bridge undertakes fabrication and erection of all forms of smaller bridge.
